Expecting moms shouldn't have to suffer


Moms-to-be shouldn't have to suffer during cold and flu season. There are ways to prevent and fight colds and flu that are safe for both mom and baby.


If you're pregnant during cold and flu season, you may be wondering what you can do to stay well. Many expecting moms find that prevention is their best tool. Talk to your doctor about getting a flu shot. And make these healthy habits a part of your daily routine:

 

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. If soap and water aren't available, use an alcohol-based handwash. Alcohol handwash works best if you keep rubbing until it's dry.
  • Don't touch your face – cold and flu germs are spread this way.
  • Stay away from people who are sick.
